PARKERSBURG — The following cases were handled in Wood County Magistrate Court on Sept. 13-15:

* Chad T McKnight, 1676 Old Delaware Road, Mount Vernon, Ohio, pleaded guilty to speeding (76 mph in a 70 mph zone) and fined $181.48.

* Makenzie J Freeman, I8 Santin Circle, Bedford, Ohio, pleaded guilty to speeding (10 mph or less in excess on highway) and fined $181.48.

* Nichole Michelle Mollohan, 601 32nd St. Lot 3, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to shoplifting and fined $201.48. She was ordered to pay a $50 civil penalty to the Walmart store in Vienna.

* Christopher Adam Grinter, 2106 17th St., Parkersburg, had a preliminary hearing waived on a charge of malicious or unlawful assault. The case was sent to Wood County Circuit Court.

* Sidney Elizabeth-Ann Thrasher, 4107 10th Ave., Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of shoplifting and possession of a controlled substance and released on $1,000 bond.

* Nathaniel Karl McDonald, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of domestic battery and released on $500 bond.

* Shane Andrew Salyers, 17 Millbrook Drive, Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of having no insurance, third-offense driving on a suspended license and possession of a controlled substance and released on $1,500 bond.

* Ashley Nicole Lockhart, 94 Old Nicholette Road, Mineral Wells, was arraigned on a charge of shoplifting and released on $1,000 bond.

* Joseph Aaron Karr, PO Box 193, Elizabeth, was arraigned on a charge of attempt to commit a felony (malicious assault) and released on $12,000 bond.

* Jordan Ray Stewart, 2501 Dudley Ave., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of malicious assault and held on $5,000 bond.

* Scott Andrew Bland, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of third-offense domestic battery and released on $5,000 bond.

* Randal Erie Bettinger, 2509 Valley View Dr., Belpre, was arraigned on charges of breaking and entering and grand larceny and released on $10,000 bond.

* Keenan Spencer Slampak, 1808 29th St., Vienna, was arraigned on charges of speeding and driving on a suspended license and released on $600 bond.

* Nicole L Musselman, 1270 Kites Run Road, Walker, was arraigned on charges of having expired registration and expired MVI and released on $500 bond.

* Angela Dawn Backus, 313 Kanawha Way, Elizabeth, was arraigned on a charge of reckless driving and released on $500 bond.

* Charles Dana Johnson, 191 Smith Hill, Cairo, was arraigned on a charge of possession of a controlled substance and released on $1,000 bond.

* Londie Dakota Westfall, 720 29th St. Apt 17, Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of battery of a police officer, disorderly conduct, failure to process, public intoxication and obstructing and held on $2,500 bond.

* Paul Richard Goodrich III, 1810 Rush Run Road, Arnoldsburg, was arraigned on charges of making a false report, destruction of property and obstruction and released on $1,500 bond.

* Nathaniel David Randolph, 3516 Burk St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of trespassing and failure to process and released on $2,000 bond.

PARKERSBURG — The following cases were handled in Wood County Magistrate Court on Sept. 16:

* Allee Lynn Small, 8774 Pond Creek Road, Rockport, pleaded guilty to speeding (10 mph or less in excess on highway) and fined $181.48.

* Haley R Simmons, 3030 Lost Pavement Road, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to operating a vehicle without an inspection certificate and fined $181.48. A charge of expired registration was dismissed after proof was provided to the court.

* Bradley Johnathan Jarvis, 55 Stoney Creek Lane, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to driving on a suspended license and fined $276.48.

* RB William Grinter, 1312 Spring St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of destruction of property, fleeing and eluding, possession of a controlled substance without a prescription and obstruction and held on $5,000 bond.

* Gerald Christopher Piggott, 619 Putnam St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of driving on a suspended license and released on $500 bond.

* Brian Andrew Nichols, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of domestic battery and released on $4,000 bond.

* Matthew Kyle Bolinger, 2116 Nash St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty of reckless operation, fined $276.48 and sentenced to 20 days in jail which was suspended and he was placed on six months of unsupervised probation.

* Todd D Tanner, 303 Tanner Lane, Walker, pleaded guilty to speeding and fined $201.48.

* Dustin Allen Bentz, 47 E. Apple Blossom Way, Elizabeth, pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance without a valid prescription and sentenced to 90 days in jail which was suspended. A charge of operating a vehicle without evidence of registration was dismissed, per a plea agreement.

* Bryan Jonathan Bailey, 1103 30th St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to third-offense driving on a suspended license, fined $326.48 and sentenced to 30 days in jail which was suspended and he was placed on nine months of unsupervised probation. A charge of having an unsafe and improperly equipped vehicle was dismissed, per a plea agreement.

* Justin Matthew Beanard, 1305 Linda Lane, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to leaving the scene of an accident and fined $226.48. A charge of having no insurance was dismissed, per a plea agreement.

* Wiliam Graley, 12194 Ravenswood Road, Belleville, pleaded guilty to speeding (10 mph or less in excess on highway) and fined $181.48.

* Ronald Ray Carpenter, 1012 Smithfield St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to driving on a suspended license and fined $276.48.

* Lynn Ellen Robinson, 18 Suzanne St., Little Hocking, pleaded guilty to shoplifting and fined $201.48. She was ordered to pay a $103.78 civil penalty to the Walmart store in Parkersburg.

* Austin G. Westfall, 16 Stewart St., Creston, pleaded guilty to speeding (10 mph or less in excess on highway) and fined $181.48. A charge of operating a vehicle without an inspection certificate was dismissed after proof was presented to the court.

* Gary Wayne Paris Jr., Belleville, pleaded guilty to second-offense domestic battery, fined $176.48 and sentenced to 30 days in jail with a credit of five days for time served. A charge of unlawful restraint was dismissed, per a plea agreement.
