PARKERSBURG — The following cases were handled in Wood County Magistrate Court on July 8:

* Jason Lee Caplinger, 418 Fourth Ave., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of second-offense shoplifting, less than $500.

* Michael Allen Bailey, 418 Fourth Ave., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of obstructing an officer and maintaining a dwelling for the use or selling of a controlled substance and released on $5,000 bond.

* Richard Alan Maul, 3007 Plum St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of strangulation and released on $10,000 bond.

* Jacqueline M. Wilson, 7541 Vore Ridge Road, Athens, was arraigned on a charge of shoplifting and released on $250 bond.

* Kayla Marie Stutler, 418 Fourth Ave., Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of possession of a controlled substance without a prescription and maintaining a dwelling for the use of or selling of a controlled substance.

* Alphrin Arnett Norman Jr., 2575 Ashley Downs Lane, College Park, Ga., was arraigned on charges of obstruction, trespassing and failure to fingerprint and released on $1,000 bond.

* Dallas Austin Hetzel, 511 W. Stephen St., Martinsburg, was arraigned on charges of obstructing an officer, trespassing and failure to process and released on $1,000 bond.

* John Michael Brown, 606 Bird St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of possession of a controlled substance and released on $1,000 bond.

* Michael Allan Lipps, 2302 Nora St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of driving on a suspended license and DUI and released on $5,000 bond.

* Sherman Lee McPherson, 129 Star Ave., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of violation of a domestic violence protective order and held on $1,000 bond.

* Matthew Kyle Bolinger, 2116 Nash St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of reckless operation and released on $500 bond.

* Kayla Dawn Bell, 418 Fourth Ave., Parkersburg, was arraigned on two counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and held on $75,000 bond. She was also arraigned on a charge of being a fugitive from justice out of Washington County, Ohio, in a charge of contempt for failure to appear. She is being held without bond, with bond to be set in Wood County Circuit Court.

* Zachary Ray Burdette, 418 Fourth Ave., Parkersburg, was arraigned on two counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and held on $75,000 bond. He was also arraigned on a charge of being a fugitive from justice out of Washington County, Ohio, in a charge of contempt for failure to appear. He is being held without bond, with bond to be set in Wood County Circuit Court.

* Barry Harold Goldenberg, 4617 Eighth Ave., Vienna, was arraigned on charges of driving on a suspended license for DUI and having an open container and released on $600 bond.

* Jesse Leon Kersey III, 1304 Camden Ave., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of obstruction (attempting to disarm an officer) and violation of a protective order and held on $105,000 bond.

* Auston Gaige Crouch, 1701 Covert St. Apt. 4, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of cruelty to animals and released on $10,000 bond. He was also arraigned on a charge of having no registration and third-offense driving on a suspended license and released on $1,000 bond.

* Garry Lee Mayle, 815 Franklin St., Belpre, pleaded guilty to driving under the influence, fined $351.48 and sentenced to 24 hours in jail.

* Dalton Lee Rhodes, 17 Hunt Ave., Cottageville, had a preliminary hearing waived on charges of strangulation and burglary. The case was sent to Wood County Circuit Court.

* Joseph Allen Sunderman, 808 Dewey Ave., St. Marys, had a preliminary hearing waived on two counts of third-offense shoplifting. The case was sent to Wood County Circuit Court.

* Nathaniel David Randolph, 3516 Burk St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to shoplifting and trespassing, fined $201.48 and sentenced to six months in jail. He failed a deferred sentence agreement. He was ordered to pay a $50 civil penalty to Sheetz.

* Brandy Kay Griswold, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to second-offense shoplifting, $276.48 and sentenced to six months in jail which was suspended and he was placed on one year of unsupervised probation. He had a charge of third-offense shoplifting dismissed, per a plea agreement.

* Jacob Adam Moore, 925 Chesterville Road, Mineral Wells, pleaded guilty to speeding (78 mph in a 70 mph zone) and fined $181.48.

* Justin Ryan Goodwin, 413 East Eighth St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to trespassing and fined $276.48.

* Amando Louise Shell, 2503 Beverly St. Apt. 13A, Vienna, pleaded guilty to having no operators license and fined $186.48.

* Dee Edward Edwards, 2106 Jonathan Court, Hudson, pleaded guilty to speeding (77 mph in a 70 mph zone)

* Trystan R. Burrows, 31 Westview Way, Parkersburg, pleaded no contest to a seat belt violation, operating a vehicle without an inspection certificate and fined $206.48.

* Shelby Danielle Adkins, 329 Lock Five Road, Elizabeth, pleaded guilty to a seat belt violation and fined $25. A charge of driving without a valid driver’s license was dismissed.

* Harry Elliott White, 148 Pine Ave., Mineral Wells, pleaded guilty to a traffic control device violation and fined $181.48.

* Isaiah Dorean Shaffer, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of possession of a controlled substance and held on $2,000 bond.

* Destiny Nevaeh McAfee, 1252 Gihon Road, Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of counterfeiting and obstruction and held on $51,000 bond. McAfee was also arraigned on a charge of being a fugitive from justice out of Washington County for failure to appear on a felony matter. She was being held without bond until a hearing is held in Wood County Circuit Court.

* Ronald Clifford Hopkins Jr., 207 Eighth Ave., Parkersburg, had 12 counts of being a prohibited person in possession of firearms dismissed.

* Gary Lee Wilkinson, 4004 Sixth Ave., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to driving on a revoked license and fined $276.48.

* Dustin Wayne Sharp, 1903 19th St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to DUI causing bodily injury, fined $361.48 and placed on three months of home confinement with a credit of one day for time served. He had charges of driving too fast for road conditions, going left of center and DUI, .15 BAC or more, dismissed, per a plea agreement.
