Welcome to Day 2 of Event 41: $215 Mystery Bounty Main Event here at the PokerNews Online Championship hosted by 888poker. With many Day 1 starting flights taking place over the past week, the tournament attracted 1,530 entries, 219 of which will be returning for Day 2. All remaining players are eligible for mystery bounties, but only 180 places are paid.

Currently sitting atop the leaderboard is “K1llGriffith”, with an impressive 217,469. Right behind them is “Kuperbb1”, who accumulated 214,370 on Day 1. Rounding out the top three is “WHATaDREAM”, who bagged a respectable 209,681.

PokerNews ambassador Lukas “RobinPoker.” Robinson is still in the mix with 43,698 and will be streaming Day 2 action.

888poker ambassador Ian “Simpioni” Simpson is fresh off a win in the 888poker Live Madrid Main Event last month for €62,000. He looks to follow up that performance with another big score as he enters day 2 with a healthy stack of 112,328.

The tournament features a $300,000 guaranteed prize pool, with the top bounty being worth $30,000. Mystery bounties come into play at the start of Day 2 and are randomly placed on the remaining players’ heads. The bounties are revealed upon elimination and rewarded to the winner.

The previous installment of the event took place back in November, with 1,410 entrants battling it out for a piece of the $300,000 prize pool. It was Brazil’s “muchbetter07” who took it down, along with $29,232 for first.

888poker StreamTeam member Leo “KaizenStyle” Jokura was the lucky competitor who captured the sole $30,000 bounty. He is in search of another big payday and currently sits with 55,151.
