Get ready for the 56th installment of the World Series of Poker. The 2025 WSOP marks the fourth year the annual series will be played on the Strip while co-hosted the Paris Las Vegas and the Horseshoe Las Vegas. At least 100 bracelets are up for grabs in Las Vegas and this year’s schedule has a few new events along with popular branded events and classics like the $10,000 buy-in Main Event and $50,000 buy-in Poker Player’s Championship where the Chip Reese Trophy is at stake.
Jonathan Tamayo won the 2024 WSOP Main Event, which had set a new record for entrants. Tamayo shipped $10 million for his victory when he outlasted a record-setting field of 10,112 runners.
“We had hoped to continue to break records last year, and we did. The WSOP Main Event was bigger than ever,” said Ty Stewart, WSOP CEO. “In 2025, the WSOP schedule is better again, with something for everyone who loves the game. There’s nothing like summer in Las Vegas and we’re ready to welcome players to the biggest and best WSOP of all time!”
Players have the opportunity to win seats to various events including the WSOP Main Event via live and online satellites. International player have a chance to play exclusive satellites at GGPoker, who is the new overlord of the WSOP brand. GGPoker sent over 1,000 players to the 2024 WSOP Main Event through their satellites, which is one of the reasons why it set a record.

If you’re in Las Vegas during the WSOP, there’s ample opportunity to win a live satellite. Side events, including daily live satellites and deep stack tournaments, will be running around the clock when the WSOP kicks off in late May.
The 2025 WSOP Main Event is Event #81 on the schedule and has four starting flights beginning on Wednesday July 2. The massive Day 1D will be hosted on Saturday July 5. The second day will be split into two flights. Day 2ABC including survivors from 1A+1B+1C is slated for Sunday, July 6, and Day 1D survivors will play on Day 2D on Monday, July 7. Both fields will combine for Day 3 on Tuesday, July 8. The Main Event Final Table for the final nine players begins on Tuesday July 15 and concludes on Wednesday July 16 when a new champion is crowned.
There’s a new event called the Battle of the Ages slated for June 22 where the first day is segregated into players 50 and older on Day 1A and players younger than 50 on Day 1B. The fields combine on Day 2.
Affordable events under $1K this summer include the $300 Gladiators of Poker, $500 Colossus, $500 Salute to Warriors, $500 Freezeout, $600 Ultra Stack, $600 Deepstack, $600 PLO Deepstack, $600 Mixed PLO/HLE Deepstack, 8-Handed NLE Deepstack, $777 Lucky 7’s, $800 NLE Deepstack, and the $800 Summer Celebration.
High Rollers at the 2025 WSOP Include the $25K HORSE High Roller, $25K PLO High Roller, $25K NLH High Roller, $25K NLE 6-Handed High Roller, $25K Mixed PLO/NHL High Roller, two $50K NLE High Roller, $50K PLO High Roller, $100K PLO High Roller, $100K NLE High Roller, and the $250,000 Super High Roller.

Oh, and if you can’t make it to Las Vegas this summer, the dates have been announced for the 2025 WSOP Europe. The WSOPE returns to King‘s Casino in Rozvadov, Czech Republic beginning September 12 through October 8. This year’s European poker festival features 15 gold bracelet events, including the €10,350 buy-in WSOP Europe Main Event that also has a €6M guaranteed prize pool.
