Ship it three times. Love him or hate him, but Martin Kabrhel won another bracelet and he did it on his home turf in RozVegas at the 2024 WSOP Europe.. The Czech pro was the last player standing in one of the bigger buy-in events, and he now joined a group of three-time bracelet winners. The first time might be a fluke, and the second time proves the first one is not a fluke, but the third bracelet is always the momentous victory that many pros often point to as a career defining moment.
WSOP Europe Event #12 €50,000 NLH Diamond High Roller attracted 30 entrants and a prize pool worth €1,395,900. The final table included Martin Kabrhel, Sirzat Hissou, Fahredin Mustafov, Enrico Camosci, and Viktor Blom. Yup, Isildur made the final table but the Swede hit the rail in fifth place. It was a battle of Czechia vs Germany in the Diamond High Roller. Sirzat Hissou missed a chance at a bracelet, and another win for Germany, but he settled on a runner-up finish. Kabrhel secured €529,000 for the victory and slapped a third piece of hardware around his wrist.
WSOPE Event #5 €550 NLHE Colossus attracted 2,799 entries, which missed the guaranteed prize pool worth €1.5 million so there was a rare overlay. The top 317 places paid out. Michal Schuh from Czechia was the last player standing, and he banked €171,350 for outlasting a final table that included Erik van Hulst, Georgios Tsoulofta, Paul Runcan, Vito Branciforte, Tomas Krivsky, Pascal Pflock, and Mousa Awad.
WSOPE Event #6 €5K PLO attracted 141 runners who generated a prize pool worth €629,565. Only the top 22 places paid out. Amng the noteworthy names who went deep and cashed included Thomas Eychenne, Andreas Krause, Julien Martini, Hokyiu Lee, Omar Eljach and Oleksii Kovalchuk. Two German players jousted in a heads-upbattle for the PLO bracelet and when the dust settled, Dennis Weiss was the last player and German standing and he secured the bling and €159,897 for first place. Fellow German Amir Mozaffarian took second place. The rest of the final table included Nikola Minkov, Victor Dota, Jonas Kronwitter, Krzysztof Magott, Vazha Kometiani, and Vakhtang Javakhishvili.
WSOPE Event #7 €1,650 NLH 6-max attracted 351 runners and a prize pool worth €494,910. The top 53 places paid out with €111,250 set aside to the champion. Among the notables who went deep and cashed included Maria Lampropulos, Timur Margolin, Lukas Pazma, Fabio Peluso, Ilija Savevski, Tobias Peters, Ran Koller, Wing Liu and Or Nezer. Italy’s Ermanno Di Nicola shipped the bracelet and €111K in cash. Di Nicola edged out South Korea’s Dohang Na in a heads-up battle to secure the bling. The final table also included Rachid El Yaacoubi, Traian Stanciu, Amiel Gamliel, Axel Bayout, and Vincent Meli.
WSOPE Event #8 €25,000 NLH GGMillion€ attracted 38 entries and it had a 1 million guaranteed prize pool, which kicked in. Italy’s Alessandro Pichierri snagged a first-place payout worth €335,900 for the epic victory when he held off Alex Foxen for the bracelet and sick score. The final table also included Salih Atac, Leon Tsoukernik, Tom-Aksel Bedell, and Sirzat Hissou. Those were the only players who cashed.
WSOPE Event #9 €1,100 NLH Mystery Bounty attracted 515 runners who created a prize pool worth €484,100. It’s been a great series for Amir Mozaffarian. He took second place in Event #6 but he did not squander an appearance at the final table of the Mystery Bounty. Mozaffarian was the last player standing and he now has a 1-2 finish in RozVegas. Once again it was Germany vs Germany in a heads-up battle for the bracelet with Shaun Deeb looming in the background. Paco Kaplan from Germany took second place, Viorel Gavrila was third, and Deeb finished in fourth place. The final table also featured Lorenzo Arduini, Zdenek Zizka, John Armbrust, and Yehor Shumeiko.
WSOPE Event #10 €2,000 8-Game Mix attracted 90 entrants and a prize pool worth €156,510. When the dust settled, a blast from the past emerged with his first bracelet. France’s Patrick Bueno shipped the 8-Game Mixed bracelet for €43,400. The final table also included Daniel Habl, Anson Tsang, Sami Bechahed, Philipp Krieger, and Martin Schamaun.
WSOPE Event #11 €1,100 NLH Turbo Bounty Hunter attracted 458 runners and a prize pool worth €430,520. Romania’s Darius Neagoe secured his first bracelet and €63,650 in cash when he outlasted a final table that included Nikolay Traskevich, Michael Wingeyer, Paulo Costa, Aaron Duczak, Holger Klock, Mikkel Plum, Traian Stanciu, and De Han Kim.
